Why a House of Prayer Reality

David built the tabernacle from a heart that cried out for the living God (Psalm 84:2) not from duty to the law. The tabernacle was built for love not law. Passion established and sustained a 24/7 reality. The Lord favored the Tabernacle of David because it came out of the heart of someone consumed with gazing on His beauty (Psalm 27:4).

The first priority of every revival in the Old Testament was to re-establish the 24/7 reality. Why? It declared Israels love and full committment to the Lord and not a prescription written from the law.

Radical lovers who will make it a priority to declare His worth is whom the Lord is seekingย  (John 4:23).

Today, we as believers are a House of Prayer if indeed communion with God is found as our top priority. Also, we are establishing a House of Prayer where a community can gather to seek the Lord, encounter Him, then turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6).

Great word PG. Whenever I feel like I am not “doing” enough for God, it seems like He uses teachings like this to remind me that I must “be” before Him first. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn from you and the rest of the Convergence crew.

I like this, we do things and built up our lives with our hands and good intentions with our hearts. Because God does all things out of love. And with our Lord’s bleeding heart, Jesus died for us to protect us and to forgive our sins. And all He wanted was to teach us, and learn to pray in the God’s house A House Of Prayer. And to know The Father to love him and to be intimate with Him. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing, Diana! You’re so right. He did it all so we would choose Him above all. Declaring his worth 24/7 is the least we can do. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah, yes, like I say, we are “human-beings” not “human-doings”. Be before do is the equation we all want to be running with. So glad you and the fam. are part of the “Convergence Crew” ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you Pastor, I think God is helping me out in understanding of things going around me. And you are right God is first with me all the time. I think you are great, even though we just met, I know God showed me your name Pastor Greg. Because I will be learning many teachings of the Word, praise God. And I pray for you and many blessings to all your friends and members of your team.

I love this word! Thank you. Father is teaching me how to worship Him in all situations. He is showing me that it doesn’t matter what I go through or what kind of hell is breaking out around me, He is God and He deserves to be worshipped 24/7. He is showing me that intercession starts with worship and is worship. He should be our top priority all the time.

Nice to see you posting again, I have missed your messages.

    Blessings,

Hey, that’s good preaching right there. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m reminded of Ps. 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” The point here is that we are walking THROUGH the valley not eternally stuck in it. Worship and Prayer keep us vitally connected in the journey. Being a House of Prayer and having a House of Prayer to attend is Life Giving!

Thanks, also, for the kind words about posting again! Always encouraging to hear!

Thank you! Pastor Greg for building this house!!! <3
Coming to cHOP, I feel "like an olive tree, flourishing in the house of God." I'm convinced that all the fruits I could ever dream of start from the house of prayer = a heart solely for God. This place is sooo awesome!!!

Totally awesome testimony, Maria. Love hearing things like this!

I remember about a year ago a wind come over me as I was in the Prayer Room. I felt God’s pleasure, divine favor and was awakened to the amazing privilege we have to host the presence of the Lord night and day.:)

Maria! This is the verse the Lord gave me when I first found the House of Prayer in 2006. Psalm 52:8! I love it, and I agree! There is nothing like being in the house of the Lord!
