I just wanted to share a simple testimony about a few blog posts I have written and how God is using them. I hope this encourages you to continue moving forward with your own writing.
Recently, I received an email from the Los Angeles Urban Project. I really did not know these guys but after hitting their website, I discovered that LAUP is a Christian based organization training students to reach the poor in Los Angeles county. LAUP has been faithfully serving the Los Angeles urban area since 1981. Amazing! I love what LAUP is doing and their faithfulness to see it done.
Here is the email I received from Erna.
My name is Erna.
I’m the director of the Los Angeles Urban Project.
I wanted your permission to use portions of your posts on how we hear from God as part of our summer curriculum. We would cut and paste portions of the three blog posts- edit out a bit- to shorten the overall length of the article. But we would not add content. Would this be OK with you?
Our team leaders will be using your article to help our interns practice listening prayer. They will read your article and then do a listening prayer exercise on each other. I thought your writing was both accessible but not over simple. I’m grateful to be able to share it with our students.
Of course, I agreed wholeheartedly to allow Los Angeles Urban Project to use these blog posts and trust that God uses them to teach and add value to others for His glory.
The Power of Your Writing
As bloggers/writers God is using what we humbly write to add value to others. I know there are those of you who can share similar stories.
So let me urge you to keep writing. Seek to bless and add value to others as you glorify God with what He gives you.
I also sense that there are those of you who want to start a blog of some kind. Let me urge you to just start. If there is any way I can help you please let me know. I’d be happy to share what I have learned.
